General Information about UV-lamps
|
The Ultraviolet light is classified in three ranges of wavelength:
UV-A from 315nm to 400nm
UV-B from 280nm to 315nm
UV-C from 100nm to 280nm
We can only offer UV-A 360nm, UV-C 185nm and 254nm lamp. Customized products have a minimum order of 100pcs and 4-6 weeks lead time. Contact us your requested dimensions for a quotation

UV-C Cold Cathode 254nm Lamps |
Quartz Lamps are low pressure lamps that generate most of the energy at 254nm (253,7nm - Mercury line) and some energy at 185nm. In medical terminology they are known as UV-C lamps.
UV-C lamps are manufactured with quartz glass, and have traces of Mercury (less than 3mg per lamp). These lamps generate UV radiation at 254nm. There is also a small amount of Ozone generated by the residual radiation of 185nm and corona effect for all UV 254nm lamps.
Our 12V DC Inverters are designed to supply the lamp with the correct voltage.

CAUTION !!!
SAFETY CONCERNS:
• Although the amount of UV and Ozone generation is very small, we recommend all suitable precaution to avoid eyes or skin exposure to UV radiation. It can produce serious damage to the eye, which may lead to temporary or permanent vision impairment. For this reason, the light produced by a germicidal lamp must be carefully shielded against both direct viewing and reflections and dispersed light that might be viewed.
• Do not touch the glass/quartz with the bare hands. Rubber gloves are recommended.
• Use appropriate protection, wires and insulated materials to avoid surge voltage from the lamp leads. Do not touch plug with wet hands.
• Discard the lamps in accordance with safety code requirements for materials containing Mercury.
• When Lamp in use we recommend an adequate ventilation.
• Take also all suitable requirements recommended by the government safety code to avoid a prolong inhalation of Ozone generated by lamp.
• The operation risk is in Group 1 per ANSI / ESNA PR27.3-96.
• This lamp should not be used for cosmetic treatments, therapeutic or diagnostic purpose.
• This product is not a toy. Use and store out of reach of children
• Intended for indoor use only. Do not use the ballast in wet or dump conditions.
• Do not expose/use lamp, ballast and wires in excessive heat, moisture, humidity, condensation, and other weather elements.
• Only our lamps with water protected sleeve can be inserted in water up to the black flange.
