• We recommend all suitable precaution to avoid eyes or skin exposure to UV radiation. It can produce serious damage to the eye, which may lead to temporary or permanent vision impairment. For this reason, the light produced by a germicidal lamp must be carefully shielded against both direct viewing and reflections and dispersed light that might be viewed.
• Do not look straight to the light. Use protective eyewear during operation.
• This UV radiation generated by this lamp is in risk group 1per ANSI or ESNA standard RP-27.3-96.
• Take also all suitable requirements recommended by the government safety code to avoid exposure to UV radiation or to a prolong inhalation of Ozone.
• Although our lamps are built with hard glass, there is a very small trace of Ozone generated by oxygen exposed to UV.
• When Lamp in use we recommend an adequate ventilation.
• Do not touch the lamp glass with the bare hands.
• Use appropriate protection, wires and insulated materials to avoid surge voltage from the lamp leads.
• Discard the lamps in accordance with safety code requirements.
• This lamp should not be used for cosmetic treatments, therapeutic or diagnostic purpose.
• Do not disassemble the ballast for any reason.
• Do not operate in presence flammable or explosive materials, liquid or fume.
• Intended for indoor use only. Do not use the ballast in wet or dump conditions.
• Do not expose/use lamp, ballast and wires in excessive heat, moisture, humidity, condensation, and other weather elements.
• Only our 6W, 8W and 10W lamp with vial (quartz tubing protected water sleeve) can be exposed to water/moisture up to the white ring. Do not use the ballast, wires, and lamp end/threaded flange in wet or dump conditions. If water gets into the lamp connections, the lamp will fail permanently, and it may be a fire hazard.
